Stamp Set

For this project, each student was asked to design a cohesive stamp set capturing a theme. The set also had to comply with United Postal guidelines: certain topics were off-limits and the stamps had to say “Forever/USA” on them.

That said, I narrowed down my theme to Observatories in California. The large white building created a good focal point and tension. The greenery around the buildings tied in cohesion while the words and clouds in the white space played into unison and movement. The bottom part of each stamp is also a different color, providing some variety.
